Key features:
- transfer from a folded position to a combat one and back takes a few seconds. In the area of the breech there is a hinge and locking device. In the folded position, the length of the OSV -96 is equal to the length of the barrel with a muzzle brake and does not exceed the dimensions of the Dragunov sniper rifle, allowing it to be easily placed in armored vehicles and other vehicles;
- self-loading, effective muzzle device reduces fatigue shooter, allowing to fire with high fire rate. Height-adjustable bipods allow to take a comfortable position for shooting;
- a large effective range allows the shooter to remain out of reach of accurate fire of conventional caliber small arms. 12.7 mm bullet has three times less demolition than bullets of 7.62 mm caliber.
